Kandy's Cultural Odyssey
This two day's itinerary provides a well-rounded experience of Kandy's culture and history, with visits to the Temple of the Tooth Relic, Peradeniya Botanical Garden, Kandy Cultural Dance Show and City Tour, as well as a visit to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage for a unique experience. The package includes private transfers with English speaking chauffeur throughout the itinerary, accommodation in a 4-star or 5-star hotel in Kandy.
Day 1:
- Pick up from Colombo or Negombo in the morning by a private English-speaking chauffeur.
- Drive to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and spend some time observing the elephants and learning about their care and rehabilitation.
- After that, continue the drive to Kandy, a city in the hill country of Sri Lanka known for its rich history and culture.
- In the evening, attend a Kandy Cultural Dance Show, where you can witness traditional Sri Lankan dancing and music performances.
- After the show, check into a 4* or 5* hotel in Kandy for an overnight stay.
Day 2:
- After breakfast at the hotel, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most sacred Buddhist shrines in the world.
- After that, visit Peradeniya Botanical Garden, home to a wide variety of tropical plants and trees, including the famous Sri Lankan Royal Palm.
- Take a Kandy City Tour and explore the city's historic sites and landmarks, including the Kandy lake, the market area and the Kandy town hall.
- After the tour, drive back to Colombo or Negombo. The tour will end with drop-off at your hotel in Negombo or any location of your choice in Colombo.
- Private transfers with English speaking chauffeur throughout the itinerary will be provided.
